From London!

It's always good to be back in my home town…although I wish Vickie were here to share all of my musical experiences with me. It's fun catching up with family and many musician pals. I had a great day yesterday working with Peter Rudeforth, a trumpet player whom I've known for many years. He was blowing up a storm and if you ever get a chance to hear him make sure you do! He's currently one of the trumpet players with the Chris Barber Band so you may well hear him in that setting. Incidently, the other trumpet player with Chris Barber is another old friend of mine, 'Magic' Mike Henry –  another great player. I certainly miss these people (and many others) now I'm based in the US – but, having had a day yesterday driving my Hertz rental car in traffic jams on the M11, M25 and sitting in virtual gridlock waiting to get through the Blackwall Tunnel there are definitely some things I do not miss! It's also a little cooler here than South Carolina…like around zero degrees F…day and night!
